Report: Ukraine blocks entrance to some Russian tank wagons

KIEV, Oct 24 (PRIME) -- Ukraine’s state railway transport administration Ukrainian Railways has blocked entrance and transit through the country to tank wagons of some Russian railway operators, including Sberbank Leasing and SG-Trans, local sectorial newswire NefteRynok reported on Monday citing an October 21 letter of Ukrainian Railways.

Besides tank wagons of Sberbank Leasing and SG-Trans, the letter of Ukrainian Railways blocked entrance and transit of all cargoes and empty tank wagons of operators NefteTransService, Promtransinvest, Aston, and Rail 1520, the newswire reported.

A representative of a Ukrainian company that imports Russian liquefied natural gas confirmed that access of Russian tank wagons to the country was blocked, NefteRynok said, adding that Ukraine does not even allow empty tank wagons to return to Russia from the country.

Ukrainian Railway could not be reached for comment.
